$1000 update

Checking in $1000 later! Wow that is crazy to think about!

 

In one of my college essays I talked about pictures; I’ve always loved the glimpse it gives into others’ lives and nostalgia for one’s own. However, as pictures of injustice surround us—pictures of George Floyd’s death, countless videos of violent arrests of innocent black men and women in front of their children, looking becomes insufficient. We started Annie and Angela Cookies to do something of our own- it may not be much, but at least it would be something (you all turned it into way more than something!!). We set the goal of promoting and fostering a greater sense community through creating a platform for issues and donating to similar organizations. 

 

Each delivery we make, we feel a little closer to accomplishing this mission. The conversations started by our cookies with neighbors, customers, and friends reassure us, showing progress and understanding. 

 

In our milestone, we encourage you to start conversations with those around you, learn their opinions, share your own, and fight for what you think is right. For us this just so happened to be through sugar cookies, and we are so grateful you all came along for the ride! 

Your endless support, kind words, and encouragement have meant so much to us and we are immensely thankful!
